WHAT IS MILLER MANIA?

Noblesville High School (NHS) is excited to welcome the Class of 2030 and all new students to the Miller family with Miller Mania, an exclusive one-day orientation event designed to help incoming freshmen and new students transition smoothly into high school life.

Event Overview:
Miller Mania takes place the Tuesday before school starts, providing a fun and engaging introduction to the campus, culture, and community of NHS. This event is the perfect opportunity for students to meet new friends, connect with upperclassmen, and become familiar with the resources available at the school. Whether you're nervous about starting high school or just eager to get involved, Miller Mania will help you feel confident, comfortable, and ready for the first day of school!

What to Expect

School Pictures: Come ready to SMILE! Your student school picture and student ID will be taken during orientation.
Pep Session: To kick things off welcoming our freshman and new students with NHS Band, cheer team, and dance team to build excitement, connection, and pride as they begin their high school experience.
Campus Tour: Explore the halls, classrooms, and facilities of NHS. Our Miller Mentors will guide you through key locations like the gym, cafeteria, library, and more.
Meet the Teachers & Staff: Learn more about your new school by meeting the amazing teachers, counselors, social workers and staff members who will be guiding you throughout the year.
Student Panel: Hear from current NHS students who will share their experiences, tips for success, and advice on how to make the most out of your high school journey.
Club & Activity Fair: Discover the wide range of extracurricular activities available at NHS. From sports teams to music, arts, and academic clubs, there’s something for everyone to get involved in!
Q&A Session: Have questions about high school life, academics, or what to expect? Our Miller Mentors and school staff will be on hand to answer all your burning questions.

Miller Mentors

What is a Miller Mentor?

A Miller Mentor is a dedicated student leader at Noblesville High School who plays a vital role in supporting and guiding fellow students, especially freshmen and new enrollees. As a peer mentor, the Miller Mentor helps ease the transition into high school by participating in Freshman Orientation and New Student Orientation, serving as a welcoming and knowledgeable presence from day one.

Beyond orientation, Miller Mentors continue to positively impact the school community by offering ongoing support, encouragement, and guidance to help all students feel connected and successful. They model responsibility, school spirit, and leadership, contributing to a positive and inclusive environment that enhances the overall student experience at Noblesville High School.

Miller Mentor responsibilities at NHS include:

Miller Mania (Freshmen/New Student Orientation): Welcome new students to NHS and help them transition into high school. Mentors will provide valuable information about school expectations, resources, and opportunities available to students, helping them feel more comfortable in a new environment.

School Year: New Student Orientation: Welcome new students to NHS and help them with their transition to a new school. Mentors will help new students navigate their daily schedule, provide peer support during lunch, assist with setting up school accounts and navigating online platforms, guided tours and meeting their NHS team, as well as other essential staff and departments.

1st day of School: Miller Mentors will be stationed throughout the hallways on the first day of school to support students as they navigate the building. Mentors will assist with finding classrooms, opening and organizing lockers, walking students to classes, and answering general questions to help everyone feel confident and welcomed.

Throughout the academic year, Miller Mentors will have a variety of other opportunities to get involved (i.e. NHS Student Walk-through (before school starts), Career Fair, Course Fair, Elementary events, 8th grade tours), grow as leaders, and make meaningful contributions to the student experience here at NHS.
