Miller Mania

WELCOME CLASS OF 2031 & NEW STUDENTS!

WHAT IS MILLER MANIA?

Noblesville High School (NHS) is excited to welcome the Class of 2031 and all new students to the Miller family with Miller Mania, an exclusive one-day orientation event designed to help incoming freshmen and new students transition smoothly into high school life.

Event Overview

Miller Mania takes place the Tuesday before school starts and is designed to give students a fun, engaging introduction to the campus, culture, and community of NHS. The all-day event is divided into two sections, and students are required to attend the entire session, start to finish. Parents and guardians are not permitted to attend. Miller Mania is a great opportunity to meet new friends, connect with upperclassmen, and become familiar with the resources and community at NHS—all while feeling confident and ready for the first day of school!

Why Attend?
Miller Mania gives freshmen and new students a valuable head start by helping them get familiar with the building, access their fall schedule, meet new classmates, connect with staff, and explore clubs, activities, and opportunities so they can feel confident, involved, and ready for the first day of school.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Miller family and helping you get ready for an unforgettable high school experience. See you at Miller Mania!

Miller Mentors

What is a Miller Mentor?

A Miller Mentor is a dedicated student leader at Noblesville High School who plays a vital role in supporting and guiding fellow students, especially freshmen and new enrollees. As a peer mentor, the Miller Mentor helps ease the transition into high school by participating in Freshman Orientation and New Student Orientation, serving as a welcoming and knowledgeable presence from day one.

Beyond orientation, Miller Mentors continue to positively impact the school community by offering ongoing support, encouragement, and guidance to help all students feel connected and successful. They model responsibility, school spirit, and leadership, contributing to a positive and inclusive environment that enhances the overall student experience at Noblesville High School.

Miller Mentor responsibilities at NHS include:

Miller Mania (Freshmen/New Student Orientation): Welcome new students to NHS and help them transition into high school. Mentors will provide valuable information about school expectations, resources, and opportunities available to students, helping them feel more comfortable in a new environment.

School Year: New Student Orientation: Welcome new students to NHS and help them with their transition to a new school. Mentors will help new students navigate their daily schedule, provide peer support during lunch, assist with setting up school accounts and navigating online platforms, guided tours and meeting their NHS team, as well as other essential staff and departments.

1st day of School: Miller Mentors will be stationed throughout the hallways on the first day of school to support students as they navigate the building. Mentors will assist with finding classrooms, opening and organizing lockers, walking students to classes, and answering general questions to help everyone feel confident and welcomed.

Throughout the academic year, Miller Mentors will have a variety of other opportunities to get involved (i.e. NHS Student Walk-through (before school starts), Career Fair, Course Fair, Elementary events, 8th grade tours), grow as leaders, and make meaningful contributions to the student experience here at NHS.

Miller Mania FAQs

Are parents able to attend Miller Mania?

No. Miller Mania is a student-only event. Parents are invited to attend the optional Parent Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on the same day, where they can ask questions and learn more about NHS.

Can my student drop in to Miller Mania, or do they need to stay the entire time?

Students must arrive at the beginning of their assigned session and stay until the session ends. Miller Mania is not a drop-in event. Students who arrive more than 30 minutes late will not be able to participate or receive access to their class schedule and other event information. They will need to wait until the Open Building Walk-Through to receive this information.

Can my student(s) decorate their locker or put items in it during Miller Mania?

No. Miller Mania is not the time to decorate lockers or place school items inside them. Students will be moving throughout the building and will not have a place to store their belongings. Students can decorate their lockers and bring in school items during the Open Building Walk-Through on a separate evening.

Will my student receive their fall schedule at Miller Mania?

Yes. Students will receive a tentative fall schedule at Miller Mania and will have time to walk through their schedule independently. Students should check PowerSchool the night before the first day of classes to make sure there have been no changes to their schedule.

What if my student cannot attend Miller Mania?

If your student is unable to attend Miller Mania, they can attend the Open Building Walk-Through to walk through their schedule and become familiar with the building.

My student is new to Noblesville (sophomore, junior, or senior). What will they do at Miller Mania?

Students who are new to Noblesville will be placed in a group with other new-to-Noblesville students in their same grade. This gives them an opportunity to begin making friends, learn the building together, and feel more comfortable at NHS. Students will also receive their iPad and class schedule during Miller Mania.
