College Entrance Exams
SAT
SAT Suite of Assessments is an aptitude test used widely by college admissions counselors in the admissions process. The SAT consists of an Evidence-based Reading and Writing (EBRW) section and a Math section. Beginning with the 2021-2022 school year, the SAT no longer includes an essay section and subject tests are no longer available. The SAT is offered eight times per year nationally. Noblesville High School is typically a test site in August, November, December, and June. Students may take the test on any test date at any site that is offered. If the test is taken more than once, the best scores from each section are used by admissions counselors in the selection process.

ACT
The ACT (American College Testing) is a timed standardized test widely used by college admission counselors in the admission process. The ACT (No Writing) consists of four multiple-choice tests: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. The ACT Plus Writing includes the four multiple-choice tests and a Writing test. NHS is typically a test site 2-3 times each school year. Generally we encourage juniors to take the test sometime in semester 2 and seniors to take the test in September. Students may take the test on any test date. If the test is taken more than once, the best scores from each section are used by admissions counselors in the selection process.
