PSAT

The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is given every year in October.  The PSAT measures critical reasoning, math, and non-essay writing skills and is administered to all freshmen, sophomores and juniors. Taking the PSAT is a great way for students to find out how prepared they are for college and career. For Juniors, the PSAT is the qualifying test for entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program. Some of the highest scoring students may win scholarship money, so while students shouldn't stress out about the PSAT, they certainly shouldn't ignore it either. We encourage all students to use the PSAT as practice for the SAT as it is an important guide on the college admissions journey.
